How is an E-Bike Operated?

You may be asking, how does an electric bike (or "e-bike") operate? An electric bike usually comes with three modes of operation:

• Pedal only: In this mode, you pedal the bike as you pedal any regular bike. The motor won't interfere with your pedaling as long as you're cycling in this mode.
• Pedal-assist: This mode combines your human power and the bike's electric power to make your cycling experience effortless. You can still change gears as you do normally.
• Electric-only: This is a mode of operation where the electric components of the bike will fully take over and let you take a break. Due to federal laws, the top speed of an electric bike is capped at 20 miles per hour.
